Siter
Bram Skrevet 12. september 2017 Skrevet 12. september 2017 Hi, my name is Bram and I work at Athom, the company who's developing Homey! @danielb told my about this forum and I thought it would be interesting to see if you have any questions I can help you with! I'm not sure if it is allowed to talk English on this forum, but my Norwegian is not that good (read: not existing haha!) I will check in once in a while to see if any of you have new questions for me:) 5 3 Siter

Bram Skrevet 12. september 2017 Skrevet 12. september 2017 We also have a knowledgebase for developers so they can start developing super fast for Homey (https://developer.athom.com/)! 2 Siter
Shetani Skrevet 12. september 2017 Forfatter Skrevet 12. september 2017 I really like that app support. Though i did a random look right now on the Youtube app and looks like it is not working anymore? Some update from youtube has killed it maybe? Siter
Bram Skrevet 12. september 2017 Skrevet 12. september 2017 That's the downside of an open platform, some developers stop maintaining the app so when we update Homey the app stops working. We are planning to do some "cleaning" in the Appstore quite soon, so the apps that are no longer maintained will be removed or moved to another developer:) Siter

geirra Skrevet 12. september 2017 Skrevet 12. september 2017 @Bram Care to explain how you guys would arrange devices in rooms / groups? Tested an Homey installation a few weeks ago and the enduser was very disappointed in the organisation of the items. To avoid cluttering they created a top entity, floor entity then and room entity with the respective devices. You have to open each entity to reach a room, and a device can only be 1 place. The enduser in this case tried the solution for a week and gave up and went back to futurehome hub. Siter
Bram Skrevet 13. september 2017 Skrevet 13. september 2017 Hi @geirra Right now it is possible to arrange your device in different "zones" like, livingroom, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, etc. You can also add your own zones that are not included in the standard list of zones in Homey. It is true that a device can only be used in one zone. However, we are currently working on a new mobile app that will make this a lot more user friendly! I cannot tell you the details yet, but once the development of the new mobile app is a bit further I could post it here. Most users wont really use the zones because they have automated all the devices in such a way that they don't need to open the zones, Nonetheless I can understand that for some users it is a bit annoying that you need to first open the top entity before you can open up the second "nested" entity. Was the organisation of items the only reason why he gave up on Homey? Siter

This is common for most users with smarthouses i know atleast. Yes, the UI / organisation was the primary reason why he gave up. Endret 13. september 2017 av geirra Siter

Also the whole UI will be changed which will make the use of the app a lot easier. So hopefully when the new app arrives he will give Homey another chance:) Siter
iblis Skrevet 14. september 2017 Skrevet 14. september 2017 I just ordered a unit from Tronika to do some extensive testing. An article/review will be posted in the near future ? Since the unit is now available on the Norwegian marked (Tronika) and is getting more and more popular in the home automation community I will add a designated forum for the unit under the "Systems" category on our site. I'm actually quite excited to test this unit since it looks quite promising on paper. If it will work in real life scenarios while at the same time maintain the holy grail of 100% WAF is the million dollar question... I will find out in the next couple of days/weeks ? 1 Siter
Bram Skrevet 14. september 2017 Skrevet 14. september 2017 Hi @iblis If I can help you with anything please let me know! We are really looking forward to expending much more in Norway and other countries and we would like to hear feedback from our users so we can optimize Homey a lot more to the customer needs! Thansk for including Homey in the systems category on the forum, means a lot:) 1 Siter

It seems to be a nice price, too! I backed it at Kickstarter for 259 EUR in June 2014 (the "geek edition"), and with todays exchangerate, that would be 3004 NOK (incl customs/taxes)! I sold mine at Finn.no in August 2016, for 2500 NOK, so I guess I got a decent price for it then. 1 Siter
Beitnes Skrevet 20. oktober 2017 Skrevet 20. oktober 2017 Hi @Bram Will there be any triggers to be used with IFTTT? The only one i find today is "Flow is triggered". Siter

(I have not bought one yet) Just making sure I don't lose any functionality if i was to switch systems. Siter
