Like you all probably know the corona virus spread have created a serious situation in all the world by now. When we first heard of all the difficulties our Chinese suppliers had with the corona virus, we could never in our wildest dreams think that everything would turn out as bad as it has. Now we also have received information that the company making the motors have had staff passing away due to the corona virus, our thoughts and prayers goes out to the family and loved ones of those.

In the light of this our challenges do not feel that big or important, but we are still doing our best to push on and currently we are still waiting for components to be able to assemble more devices. Big challenge is that even if only one component is missing, we will not be able to complete assembly of more devices. The preliminary delivery time we have received for batteries are mid/end of April and spools have the same preliminary delivery date. We are also waiting for some plastic parts, some electronic components to the circuit board and carton boxes but all of these should arrive before mid/end of April.

Now we cannot do anything but wait to get delivery because all other companies we have contacted that can do the parts we are waiting for are giving us the same or worse delivery time.

We like to raise a warning flag that due to situation in many countries also these delivery dates may be shifted.

We like to thank all of you amazing backers for the support you are showing us and for all the encouraging email we have received.

We wish everyone of you will stay safe and take care of family and loved ones in these difficult times.

We like to start with thanking all of you that contacted us. 

 

We have continued to work with different pulley designs and have one new design that most likely will replace the metal spool. This new plastic pulley will be usable for both 4.5mm bead chain and 3.2mm continuous cord loop. Like we mentioned in the last update we will need a lot of different spools and pulleys to cover the different window covers that are on the market. We are now working with the possibility to have STL files at www.teptron.com for the type of spools and pulleys needed for cords, bead chain and continues cords loops that have dimensions that are not common on the market. We think this would be a good solution because in general a hardened steel plastic injection tool for a pulley costs about $7000 and it takes about 3-4 months to get it ready for production. Our idea is that anyone that then has dimensions that's not common on the market perhaps can find a spool or pulley to print themself at our website. We will also publish all pulley or spool suggestions we receive. So if anyone have a design they would like us to publish just send it to [email protected].

 

To all of you that contacted us regarding switching to a Bluetooth version we like to inform you that during next week we will start shipping out those devices. For those of you that want to switch to Bluetooth we encourage you to contact us at [email protected]. It is still a bit unclear when we will get delivery from our Asian partner but as soon as we have clear delivery schedule we will make a update. But we would like to point out for those of you that is not aware of lead times when shipping products from China, only the boat will be 4-6 weeks and that's when the devices are assembled and ready for transport. 

 

We have also received a lot of questions regarding installation to venetian blinds. We are developing an accessory for venetian blinds that we will start testing soon. In the next update we will give more details about this accessory. But it would be great if those of you that are planning to install MOVEZ on venetian blinds write us a line at [email protected] so we know how many of you that's going to do that and we can take note to hopefully have the accessories ready to include when we ship your MOVEZ.

Hi Everyone

 

We like to start by thanking for the feedback we have received regarding what window cover you all will install MOVE at. We will use this information to look into compatibility towards those types of window covers. Like we have mentioned earlier, the universal type of pulleys and spools we developed previously will be supplied together with the devices but we will also include the new more specific pulleys and spools we now have made and the ones we are developing. But the more different versions of pulleys and spools we make the closer we will get to a situation where we can not include all the different versions in each packed because there will be too many. When we reach this point we will need to make different packages for different window covers and then we need to known what window covers you backers will install at so we include the pulley or spool you need. We will get back when we reach this point and will start having different packages.

 

 

 

We are also working with a software that allows the devices to run both Z-wave and Bluetooth at the same time. This will have a standby power consumption of about 0.6mA. The current Z-wave only MOVEZ have 0.16mA standby power consumption. However, the battery life time boils down to a combination of how often the motor run, how heavy the window cover is and how long travel distance the window cover have. Therefore it’s impossible to give a general time for how long the batteries will last.

 

 

 

One use case may be that a MOVEZ running only z-wave are installed at a window cover which is adjusted 2 times each week, it’s a light weight vertical blind and it have 1 minute travel distance. This example would bring about 1.5 year battery life.

 

 

 

Another use case may be that a MOVEZ running only z-wave are installed at a window cover which is adjusted 4 times each day, it’s a heavy 80inch (2meter) blackout roller shade and it have 2 minutes travel distance. This example would bring about 3 months battery life.

 

 

 

We also want to inform that we currently are out of stock for the solar panels and when we get them back in stock we will ship to all of you backers how received devices without solar panel.

Stemmer bra, men et slikt søksmål kan kreve enorme utlegg før ev eventuell seier (eller tap).

Vi andre har jo formelt sett bestilt av salvesen som har lagt inn bestilling, det blir altså kompliser for oss å legge inn en anmeldelse.

Ja, og når noen faktisk gjør noe kriminelt så skal man anmelde det.

 

Men selv om MoveZ ikke har en fremdrift vi liker, er det strengt tatt ikke ulovlig det de har gjort. Enda.

Vi skulle ikke bare ha bytta til Bluetooth/ZigBee-versjonen da? Responstiden er bedre påstår de. Er kanskje større sjanse for at de sender ut den? De fleste som har Z-Wave-dingser hjemme har vel som regel også støtte for ZigBee. For min del kunne den like gjerne vært ZigBee som Z-Wave, men uansett har jeg jo egentlig ikke behov for den lenger. Antar den vil havne på Finn om den en gang skulle komme uansett.

Fint om du prøver. Enig i at det er et skitselskap, men jeg har fremdeles bruk for motorene, og hvis vi ikke legger inn adresse blir det vel brukt mot oss.
